Port Macquarie’s The Foreign Objects will stage a massive tour of Australia’s eastern states this April/May, to celebrate the releases of their debut EP, ‘Amongst Ghosts, By The Sea’ due for release 26th March.

Forming 11 months ago, their sound has been described as combining the punk ferocity of The Bronx with the rock swagger of early Grinspoon.

Debut EP ‘Amongst Ghosts, By The Sea’, was recorded over four months at the Line Level Studios in Port Macquarie. Bolstered by blistering opening track “Get Outa My Sun” and the rapid-fire showstopper “Vampirate”, the record is built on rock’s fundamentals: 60s and 70s pub-rock beats, punk-fuelled guitar triplets, sweltering riffs, and chaotic, howled vocals.

Over the past almost-year the band have built their name performing tirelessly for north coast locals. Now it’s time to show the rest of Australia what they’ve got.

The Foreign Objects hang out Amongst Ghosts, By The Sea

Hailing from coastal NSW town, Port Macquarie, The Foreign Objects will release their eagerly-awaited debut EP, ‘Amongst Ghosts, By The Sea’, this 26th March on Cross Section through Inertia.

Combining the punk ferocity of The Bronx with the rock swagger of early Grinspoon, the four-piece are proving to be a true force to be reckoned with.

Having come together only eleven months ago, the group have built their name the old-fashioned way:  tirelessly performing for an ever-growing base of devoted locals. As word spread of their furious live sets, their profile skyrocketed. Soon they were selling out headline shows in their hometown, performing alongside the likes of Spiderbait, Little Birdy and Children Collide at 2009’s Festival Of The Sun, and supporting the likes of Grinspoon, Philadelphia Grand Jury, The Boxer Rebellion (UK), and The Scare!

Boasting a raucous, relentless sound, debut EP ‘Amongst Ghosts, By The Sea’, was recorded in approximately four months at the Line Level Studios in Port Macquarie.

Having just completed headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne in January – with a larger Australian tour promised for April – The Foreign Objects are a definite band to watch in 2010. But for frontman, Luke Hall, the hype is merely a sideshow to the main game: “We don’t care about trying to prove anything to anyone. Rock ‘n’ Roll’s never been about being accepted. We just wanna scream in your face.”
