Cold War Kids are back with new track Royal Blue taken from their third album Mine Is Yours, which is due for release in January 2011.

Front-man Nathan Willett discussed the changes in the band’s personal lives which have influenced the recording of their new LP:

“I got home from tour and realized I was married,” he said. “All my friends had either jumped in the deep end of a relationship or had drowned.

“When did things get so serious? We fought growing up but the wild nights and free-for-all caught up to us. Some people got out in time and others had permanent damage. For this record, I wrote about the joys and failures of commitment all around me.”

Cold War Kids will be in the country over December/January to play Falls, Southbound and Sunset Sounds festivals.
