Mark Farina Deconstrukts Melbourne
For the first time since his sold-out Australian tour in 2008, San Francisco house legend Mark Farina will return to our shores for an exclusive Melbourne performance in early 2010.
The man behind the Great Lakes Audio label imprint and highly acclaimed and seminal Mushroom Jazz series will take the stage at the Prince of Wales on Friday February 19th in front of an inevitable capacity crowd.
Farina’s longevity in the house game has now reached two decades after a chance meeting befriending Derrick Carter in a Chicago record store in 1988. By fusing his timeless influences with contemporary sounds he has managed to stay at the forefront of global house music and in 2009 remains as relevant as ever before.
Mark’s chunky-funky underground house style continually turns the heads of tastemakers worldwide, drawing him not only new fans, but landing him on the Top DJs in the World lists in magazines like URB, Muzik and BPM. The unwavering demand for his amazing live sets puts him in a whirlwind lifestyle which sees him trotting the globe performing 100s of shows to over one million club goers each and every year.
Early bird tickets on sale until Friday January 15th through Prince of Wales.
